Day 2 Post Op After Butt Liposuction

It’s day 2 post op after butt liposuction. Today was the 2nd post op MLD appointment as well as a much needed session at the gym!!

I put my stockings on under my girdle because it’s another HOT day and I know my legs will swell.  Overall, this getup is HOT and SWEATY.  I really kind of hate it, especially with almost 90% humidity.  If there is one thing I miss from the USA, it’s having air conditioning in the house.  Ah well, I got dressed and started the day.

2nd Post Op After Butt Liposuction MLD Appointment

Today’s appointment was much more painful than yesterday.  However, the spots that  were getting hard yesterday weren’t any bigger or harder today so hopefully once again starting MLD the day after surgery will keep the swelling and hard protein spots down.

I think sitting as an extra form of compression is helping it as well.  We’ll see how it holds out until my next MLD appointment on Wednesday, which is post op day 7.

Another Success at the Gym on Day 2 Post Op

And, once again, I hit the gym 2 days after having liposuction done.  To be completely honest, walking hasn’t been an issue at all.  Sure, it takes a few seconds for the skin and muscles to “stretch” and “warm up” once I’m on my feet, but there isn’t any real pain when I’m walking.  Not like with my thighs.  Sitting isn’t too big of an issue at all either.

Truthfully, my poor left hand which I hurt last month in my bicycling accident (contused it badly) gave me more issues lifting than my butt did.  Since I couldn’t properly hold the bar for the bench press (and because I can’t lay down flat yet) my trainer decided to have me do an inclined bench on the Smith Machine.  While I hate the Smith Machine with a passion (its only true purpose is a towel rack), it did allow me to get some reps in.  It was awkward since I kind of had to make a fist and let the bar rest on my palm right above my wrist while I held on normal with my right hand… but I got it done.

We stayed away from any exercises that really put pressure or stretched the glutes or my lower and mid back muscles.  That’s just not a good idea 2 days post op at all.

Chilled the Rest of the Day and Played Computer Games

I’m a gamer (both table top and computer) so since I can sit, I plopped (ok, carefully sat) my butt in my chair and spent the rest of the day playing Elder Scrolls Online.  Not really a bad way to spend a Friday after surgery, especially since I’ve been so busy with work I haven’t had any proper gaming downtime.

Later on, since I have to wash this damned girdle nightly, I went and washed it and watched Netflix buck ass naked on the bed while the garment dried in the dryer.  Thank god for modern electronics or I’d been trying to pull it up my butt wet.

Day 2 After Butt Liposuction Observations

  • Butt still doesn’t really hurt badly
  • Can sit just fine
  • Can walk just fine (include going up stairs, going down needs to be done carefully in order to not step too hard)
  • Can do upper body weights just fine at the gym
