Calf liposuction, in February 2016, would be the first of 6 liposuction procedures that I’d take on after I’d finally been diagnosed with Lipedema in the fall of 2015. At the end of the day, my surgeon in Rotterdam was able to take out 3.5 liters of diseased fat from both calves together. This works out to about 1.75 liters of fat per calf.
Going into surgery, my left calf started out at almost 21 inches (53cm) and my right, which was slightly bigger, started out at 21.5 (55cm). After the swelling started going down, my left calf was at 17 inches (43cms) and my right 17.5 inches (45cm).
I also started this surgery weighing 290lbs (131.5kg) and went down to 281lbs (127.5kg) about 2 months (8 weeks) after the calf liposuction was performed.
Today (30, November 2016) both of my calves are now 18 inches after 10 months of doing loads of calf pressing at the gym. But more about that in an update post!
