Preparing for Liposuction on the Stomach

Pre-liposuction stomach

Pre-op full front photoIn only 3 days, on February 15th 2017, I’ll be preparing for liposuction the stomach.  I’m really excited for this surgery because I’m DONE with this lump of fat and flesh hanging from the front of my body.  It’s heavy, gets in the way of squatting and cycling, and it really (and I mean fucking really) hurts my back.

I’ve actually been preparing for liposuction for the past 3 weeks.  The 26th of January was the last day I went to the gym (trust me, you DO NOT want to take a black light to your gym) and I’ve been working out at home instead.  Not as good of workouts, but something is better than nothing.

No public transportation, trying to stay out of grocery stores as much as possible, not doing the dutch 3 kisses of death, and using copious amounts of hand sanitizer.  I actually managed to escape something akin to the Noro Virus the last weekend of January since we ended up not being able to go to the family weekend in Germany due to a kitty emergency.  EVERYONE but my parents in law got sick which is something I didn’t need in the least.

So I’ve managed to keep myself pretty healthy these 3 weeks and unless something happens between now and Wednesday morning 8am, my stomach fat should be history by 1 or 2pm.

Pre-Op Measurements and Photos

I measured my stomach at 3 points.  Lower (apron that pretty much hangs over my legs), the middle over my belly button, and the upper which is about 2 inches from under my breast.

#1 lower: 55.75 inches

#2 mid: 53.5 inches

#3 upper: 46 inches

Something kind of disheartening is my stomach has grown in the past 5 months since my last surgery.  My mid stomach has been a pretty steady 52.5 inches, but while all my other areas have stayed the same (outside of my quads growing .5 to 1 inch, which makes sense since I’ve really been going at squats).  Also, the fat on the side of my boob, right before it becomes breast tissue, is becoming painful.  My back isn’t really growing fat yet, but since the under arm fat is becoming painful (and I think it’s grown some) I’m afraid it’s going to eventually start in my back.

I am going to point out the fat under my arm becoming painful, and bruises from dry needling sticking around for weeks instead of days.  Maybe I can get the fat taken out of there wednesday as well.  It’s only a few cc’s on each side so it might not be too big of a deal.

So there we have it, the prep for the stomach liposuction! As usual, we’re staying at the CitizenM which is nearby the clinic and we’ll probably see if we can’t find someplace to spend our Valentine’s night.
