It’s been 5 days since my last update on my butt liposuction. Here’s the rundown:
Day 6 Post Op after Butt Liposuction
Now that I’ve been off Tramadol for over 24 hours, I’ve managed to lose about 1kg of water weight. It’s not enough to not look like a puffy dough pastry, but its better than nothing.
Overall, nothing really to report.
Day 7 Post Op after Butt Liposuction
48 hours is the magic number for my body to let loose of Tramadol water retention. I lost the other 5.5kg over night and I was literally up peeing 2x an hour. It didn’t help that this made me extremely thirsty and I kept fueling the fire.
What was worse is it left me feeling like I had been out drinking all night. I woke up with a massive headache and crampy muscles from the loss of electrolytes. I popped some magnesium supplements, potassium supplements, and chowed down on some salty potato chips that I was craving. By the evening I was feeling ok again.
MLD was painful though. What’s weird is my right butt cheek is much more painful and tender than my left. I’ve no idea why, it just is.
Today was also the first day I drove. It wasn’t comfortable and I rather be the passenger, but I sucked it up like a big girl and got myself to MLD and to an absolutely fantastic ice cream shop in my city later that day (my mother twisted my arm, OK?). Getting in and out of the drivers side is the worse part, followed by turning. You notice you kind of lean to one side or the other to balance yourself when you turn while driving and that shifting of body weight is enough to think “ouch!”.
Day 8 Post Op after Butt Liposuction
Today was another training session at the gym and lord was I tired from being up and peeing MORE. 2 nights of this just sucks. My trainer almost sent me home but gave in to allowing me to do something.
Once again it was my hand that was more trouble. Although sitting on the inclined bench was much more painful than when I was on Tramadol. Once I got settled it was bearable but the getting down part, oh lordy. That was the only seated exercise, the rest was fine.
I’m now totally off pain killers. Last one I took was yesterday afternoon sometime.
Day 9 Post Op after Butt Liposuction
More MLD and my husband and I took my mom out for dinner. Sitting on most chairs is more than bearable, even from day 1.
Day 10 Post Op after Butt Liposuction
Turning over in bed is getting easier, its not as painful as it was before and its not a whole physical activity. So that’s nice.
This morning I went to the hair salon for a root touch up and cut. Again, sitting wasn’t an issue at all. The only part that was somewhat uncomfortable and slightly painful was when I had to go back to get my hair washed. There is a part of my butt, just where butt and lower back meet, that still really hurts. It’s like my sides, it’s because it doesn’t get as much compression as my butt cheeks (from sitting). So going back stretched the skin and made me think ouch.
Of course once in that position for a few minutes the pain faded and it was fine.
We also went and ate out for lunch, walked around the city center and was planning to go to the coast to walk in the sand dunes but that didn’t happen. So we’re planning on going tomorrow (day 11). That’s about an hour or so from where we live.
For the rest, today has been sitting behind the computer and chilling with friends. We started watching Persons of Interest as well.
