Success Takes Real Work

I’m strong.  On a bicycle I’m fast (not so much on foot).  In my professional life I’ve been called a “rock star” of my industry because of my extensive network.

success

I’ll be the first to tell you that real success takes real work.  It didn’t just fall in my lap and even though I know I can make it look very easy, I didn’t get to where I am in my personal or professional life easily.  I had to work for every bit of it.

Lipedema is kind of like this.  We all want to be successful, but that success takes real work.  It means watching what you eat, it means eating at a deficit for the rest of your life so the lipedema can’t grow or make new fat cells, it means exercising to the best of your ability, and it means pain as well as discomfort.

We can’t let lipedema become an excuse to give up.  We can’t let lipedema become an excuse to become bigger, heavier, and more immobile.  We can’t let lipedema define us.  Success takes real work.  That means sucking it up and changing what we can and accepting what we can not.

So, tweak and strive to perfect your diet.  Take one more step if you think it’s impossible to do more.  Love yourself but don’t give up.

Why? Because success takes real work.
