Day 3 Post Op after Butt Liposuction

My mother flew over for my butt liposuction to help out since my husband and I really thought that this one was going to be a pain in the ass (literally).  However, since it hasn’t been too horrible and I can sit in the car as well as walk, we decided to go out on a little day trip.

Orchids, Turtles, Butterflys, Lorikeets and Monkeys Oh My!

20160827_132202I didn’t want to commit to going to someplace really far away, or doing something that would take a lot of walking just in case I got tired really easy (it is just 3 days post op after all!).  So I was looking around online for things in the Flevoland providence that we haven’t done yet and came across Orchideen Hoeve.  That would be dutch for an Orchid Farm.

It’s kind of like a botanical garden, but full of orchids from around the world.  It was really kind of neat because there were streams running through the entire place with carp that were rivals to the ones in Lake Mead, Nevada.  There were turtles everywhere and sometimes they’d make a run for it over the path.  There were ducks, sugar gliders, monkeys, lorikeets, and butterflies.  Oh, and the Triumph car club was having a meeting there so we got to see some very, very, very neat classic cars all in one parking lot.

Walked About 3 Kilometers and Climbed Loads of Things

The entire walk through the gardens ended up to be around 3km according to my fitbit.  It didn’t hurt my butt at all.  In fact, I even climbed up stone steps, trails, and whatnot without any issue.

Once again, the only thing I had to be careful of, aside from slipping on the wet paths, was to go down things carefully.  Taking a hard step and sending a shock wave up my body really kind of hurts.

First Time Going Poo after Butt Liposuction

Ok, yea, I know this is a little gross to talk about but it has to be said because I’m 100% sure that this is as much of a concern to you as it was to my husband and I.  In fact, my mother had flown in to the Netherlands to help me wipe my butt when my husband has to go back to work!

Well, luckily, the Tramadol does cause constipation so today is the first day I’ve had to deal with this issue.  Know what the worst part of the whole exercise is?

The girdle.  Yup, actually going poo and cleaning up afterwards wasn’t that bad.  Getting the girdle down and back up, not so easy.  I’m at the point where things are tender and swollen enough I need help.  Thank god I don’t have diarrhea and have to do it often!

I will admit the wiping bit is a bit tender.  However, it wasn’t anything unbearable and I’m happy to report I was able to wipe my own ass.

Tip: if you don’t have a bidet, use baby wipes for easier cleaning.  It will save the dry paper dragging delicate, tender, painful skin.

Post Op Day 3 Observations After Butt Liposuction

  • Not being slowed down by pain, stiffness or soreness.  In fact, after I get walking for about 10 minutes, I can’t even really feel anything sore.
  • Sitting in the car really isn’t that bad unless your husband is prone to finding every pothole in the road and hitting every curb.
  • Monkeys are always fun.
